On December 16, 2014 – Enterprise Europe Network – Russia, Gate2Rubin Consortium, St. Petersburg Regional Center will host in St. Petersburg an international conference “International intercluster cooperation: integration opportunities in the Northern Europe”.
The event will allow the participants to get acquainted with the best practices and approaches of cluster formation and development in North-West Russia and Nordic countries. In addition, the event will facilitate contacts between representatives of key clusters as well business, trade, innovations and investments support infrastructure of the North-West Federal District of Russia and countries of Northern Europe and will create necessary conditions for the exchange of new ideas and approaches based on the mutual exchange of experience.

The conference programme will also feature pre-launching of the project “Sustainable clusters” supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers. This project is aimed at ensuring transfer of knowledge and best practices in the sphere of cluster formation and development, as well as SME support infrastructure and programmes in the participating regions of the Russian Federation and Nordic countries. The project is expected to foster formation of a network of business support and cluster development organizations among participating countries of Northern Europe and North-West Federal District of Russia. Implementation of the project is scheduled for October 2014 - September 2016.
