The purpose of formation of the Russian national technological initiative GreenNet is an assistance to transition to "green" economy in Russia through development of technologies and domestic market of cleantech and also entry into the global cleantech-markets. Strategic focus of the Russian GreenNet technology at this stage is to increase ecological safety and efficiency of resources use in the urban environment. At the operational level the main attention will be paid to further development of introduction of clean technologies in Russia and supports of process of transition to "green" and circular economy. The Russian NTI GreenNet will become the tool for expansion of the St. Petersburg experience in the sphere of threefold spiral technologies development or cluster approach further to other regions of Russia.
