The 4th Saint-Petersburg International Cluster Conference «Clusters Open Borders. A Time for Leaders»

May 16-17, 2019. St. Petersburg, Russia On behalf of Saint-Petersburg Cluster Development Center it is our pleasure to inform you of the forthcoming 4th Saint Petersburg International Cluster Conference “Clusters Open Borders. A Time for Leaders”.

The event is scheduled for May 16-17, 2019 and will engage policy makers and cluster practitioners from the Russian Federation and abroadin a profound debate on the issues relevant to cluster-based excellence. The Conference is organized by the Cluster Development Centre of Saint Petersburg Technopark and is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovations of Saint Petersburg.

The Conference traditionally will be held during the period of white nights in Saint Petersburg – Russia`s top innovation-driven region according to the ranking of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia – and will bring together more than 500 cluster experts and practitioners from 30 regions of the Russian Federation and around the world to discuss the best practices of cluster development and encourage adoption and replication of the most successful cluster models across Russia.

This year the Conference will feature both local and global cluster leaders in a plenary and three parallel sessions dedicated to the industry leaders, best cluster practices, international and interregional cooperation.

The Industry LeadersTrack will gather cluster professionals in the key industries of Russian economy, such as medical industry, biotechnologies and pharmaceuticals, IT and radio electronics, automotive manufacturing, advanced composite materials, technologies for Arctic region, Smart City and robotics, shipbuilding, green technologies, textile, clothing and footwear industry to discuss application of cluster approach in their respective fields of specialization.

The Best Practices Track will focus on the current issues related cluster management, functions and services including staffing and education, investment raising, digitalization, innovations and R&D, state support measures for clusters and cluster policies.

The International and Interregional Cooperation Track will touch upon the benefits of cluster partnership and realization of common cluster projects, participation in international cluster programs, promotion of export and measures aimed at boosting economic growth and global competitiveness of clusters.
